These demos have been developed by Dr. Roger Webster and Computer Science students at Millersville University. The demos were developed as part of class work in cs406 Haptic Programming Environments, CS375 3D Graphics and Virtual Reality, CS498 Independent Research, and some in Dr. Webster's spare time. Our demos use the Sensable Technologies' PHANToM haptic device, the "Reachin Display" unit to provide the user with a more ergonomic feel, and the Crystal Eyes stereo glasses. The graphics programming environment is EAI/Sense8's WorldToolkit API of OpenGL calls. The haptics programming environment is Sensable Technologies' GHOST API calls. The control computer is a dual Pentium processor workstation with a Wildcat graphics OpenGL accelerator running Windows 2000.

Previous contributors to these demo programs include: Betty J. Mohler, Jeremy W. Sheaffer, Tim Bailey, Mike Dise, Monica Smith, Dean Zimmerman. Most of the source code to these demos and many more (over 400MBs of 3D Graphics & Haptics) is contained in the Source Code CD (click below).
