The Liffick Family Home Page

Family legend is that the original spelling of the family name was Livvix, and that the family originated in Poland. However, Livvix is apparently not a Polish surname, according to one person from Poland I spoke to a few years back - there are no Vs in Polish names. Around George Washington Liffick's time (mid-late 1800's) most of the family changed the spelling to Liffick. However, there are still folks in the US with Livvix, so I guess they're related as well. There are apparently other variations to the name as well, including Levick and Liffeck. One interesting piece of the puzzle I have yet to investigate is the possible existance at one time of a German town named Liffick...

The following is dedicated to information about the Liffick family, and it's various off-chutes as they are discovered. Eventually I'd like this site to contain a geneology of the family, as well as rememberances about family events. To begin with, I offer just a simple list of email addresses for far-flung family members. If you know of additional family members I can add to this list, or if your own address is incorrect, please let me know.
