The Department of Computer Science maintains a strong, rigorous, state-of-the-art program in computer science with seven full-time faculty and about 300 majors. With research and advanced undergraduate elective courses in: Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality, Software Engineering, Internet Programming with Java, Human Computer Interaction, Artificial Intelligence, Database Management Systems with ORACLE, Analysis of Algorithms, Parallel Processing, and Computer Networks, our hardware and software laboratories are geared-up and plugged-in. At the Bachelor of Science level, you can prepare for either graduate study and research in computer science, or positions in business, industry, or government.
Millersville University began teaching programming courses in 1963 and the Computer Science degree was approved in 1975. Since then, we have graduated over 1,200 Computer Science majors and virtually all have become active contributing members of the computer science profession.
