The objective of the core requirements is to provide the student with the skills that are considered to be fundamental to the study of computer science.

Students enrolled in the AS degree sequence will be required to enroll in 17 - 19 s.h. of Computer Science electives to satisfy degree requirements. Electives will be selected upon admission to the Computer Science department in consultation with the department adviser. A course of study will be designed to fit the individual student's background and needs.
Every Computer Science major is required to complete ENGL 312 - Technical Writing.
